Akshay Kumar donates Rs 1 crore to feed monkeys in Ayodhya

In a large-hearted gesture, Akshay Kumar has donated Rs 1 crore to feed over 1,200 monkeys day by day in Ayodhya. Forward of Diwali, the actor initiated this undertaking to make sure the primates are fed at particular areas on the town’s outskirts, lowering disruption for the numerous pilgrims visiting day by day. In tribute to his dad and mom and his father-in-law, Bollywood legend Rajesh Khanna, Akshay had their names inscribed on the feeding van. Reflecting on the choice, he shared, “Once I heard concerning the points confronted by the monkeys at such a holy place, I instantly felt like contributing my bit.”

Akshay added that together with his household’s names was an emotional alternative, explaining, “Someplace up there, they’d really feel happy with me.” He humorously famous that, if attainable, he would have labelled the van “Aruna, Hariom aur Rajesh Khanna di gaddi” in Punjabi model. This follows his latest Rs 1.21 crore donation to the Haji Ali Dargah renovation undertaking and his Rs 25 crore pledge to the OM CARES fund throughout the Covid pandemic.
